Real results from someone that's been on the hiring side
I'm Andrea, founder of Kantan HQ. As a former VP and Director of Project Management, I've built teams, partnered with recruiters, and made final hiring decisions. I've reviewed hundreds of resumes and I know exactly what gets past ATS and makes a hiring manager say "let's bring this person in."
The process isn't always fair so I built Kantan HQ to give job seekers the same insider knowledge that hiring managers already have.

Your Resume
Has to Pass 2 Major Hurdles
1) ATS and AI Screenings
Most companies use ATS and AI screening systems to initially scan resumes to rate how well candidates match the role. If your resume isn't ATS friendly, a recruiter will likely never see it.
2) Recruiters Scanning Resumes In Seconds
Recruiters read resumes for less than 10 seconds on average before making a snap judgement. If you don't have the right details in the right places, you're probably going to get rejected.
The Resume Success Formula
Here’s the formula designed to help your resume pass ATS screenings and recruiter reviews.

ATS Friendly Formatting
Use a simple resume format and avoid elements that can cause ATS to misread your resume.
Avoid: Columns, images, icons, tables unique fonts, and color fonts.
Use common fonts like Arial, Calibri, Cambria, Helvetica, Georgia, or Verdana.

Easy To Scan
Recruiters spend just seconds initially reviewing your resume. Keep the summary short (2-3 sentences max), to keep the work experience section near the top.
Organize your resume so these 3 things are immediately clear:
1) You have the right level of seniority/title
2) You have experience in the right industries
3) You've already delivered the results they're looking for

Relevant Experience
Add the most details/bullet points to your recent and relevant roles and include context on the company and it's services or products if they're not well known.
Include at least 2 examples of your impact and achievements for each role with numbers or %s.
Remove or condense older positions into an “Additional Work Experience” section.

Right Keywords
Identify and add common keywords used in the job postings you're targeting. Include them throughout your resume including the work experience and skills section.
